The Battle of Fisheye Cove - Epilog 1

As the airship finally appeared on the horizon, Theria waited on the beach, once again herself, a beautiful and powerful red dragon.
She could hardly wait to see Scorch again. There were so many new stories to tell him of battles with devious and dangerous sea dragons, antics of stupid ice dragons, and the power of a red dragon that can prevail against anything. But there were also other stories she now knew.
The basket was left on the beach, most of the honey rolls and jam still packed carefully in water resistance cloth. Theria decided she really didn’t like sweets. All the fish cakes were gone; they were surprisingly good.
The book was back at the end of the breakwater, still hidden in the little crevasse, but higher, easier to reach, and safer from the danger of the tide. Both the quill and ink bottle magically repaired by her mending spells were strewn near the ink spill, in a little inset in the rock, as if they had fallen that way. The bottle was carefully placed on part of the restored quill so it wouldn’t blow away. She even managed to conjure a little ink in the recesses of the jar.
Red dragons can locate any object or treasure they have ever held and prized. Theria was sure she could locate that book again. She told herself it was all part of a clever ruse to capture the bronze dragons on land. But maybe, just maybe, some secret part of her wanted more stories.
